Not only have many everyday fans of the Legend of Zelda series made flipnotes to celebrate Zelda’s 25th Anniversary, but some of the staff members of Nintendo of America have decided to create some as well. The way these flipnotes are presented vary from Link flying around on a cucco while seeing various people from the Zelda series to Link using the Wii U’s controller to find his way through a dungeon. There’s even an instance of CD-i Link appearing…

In the video he mentions about how when he was a “wee, wee lad” he played the first Legend of Zelda and that he hasn’t played it since then. Nintendo is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Legend of Zelda with the release of Skyward Sword and the orchestral concerts but now several composers from many other series such as Minecraft and Mass Effect have completed their own tribute to the anniversary of Zelda. This includes handheld games such as…

Make the jump to see the video and my thoughts on their performance.

Some of the staff have already downloaded the game through the Nintendo E-Shop and will be sharing our opinions on the release soon. Head on past the break to hear what I think about the new release.

During this developer roundtable there is a quick look at some features of the Super Mario 3D game. We previously reported this video noting the ‘Siren World’, but we didn’t mention this other Zelda goodie. If you watch the video around 2:20, there’s a quick mention of a top down section of the game which was called a tribute to the classic top down Legend of Zelda games in honor of Zelda’s 25th anniversary.

As many of you know, the 25th anniversary of the original Legend of Zelda’s release in Japan is tomorrow, the 21st of February. With three expected Zelda releases, Ocarina of Time 3D, Link’s Awakening on the 3DS e-shop, and Skyward Sword, this year will certainly be one of Zelda’s best ever. To celebrate, IGN has put together an article detailing 25 great things from Link’s 1st quest. It’s not a count down, no trivial placement of items or characters, just…
