It is no secret that the Zelda DLC for Sonic Lost World was very good. So good some Zelda fans even claimed they went out to buy Sonic Lost World just to play that singular DLC. The best part of course was that the DLC was 100% free. Beyond all this however, it seems the team had a really enjoyable time making the DLC. According to Takashi Iizuka, the producer of Sonic Lost World and the main man behind the Zelda DLC, he wants to make even more Zelda DLC.

“In normal production, the hardest part is building up the base of the game. Stages can normally be changed simply by variations, but this time, it was shaped to be a different experience on each stage [of the DLC], which is why it took so long to complete. It’s easy for Yoshi to be in Sonic Lost World, but the music, sound, and soundtrack of “The Legend of Zelda” made the development all the more entertaining and fun. I now feel like I want to make more, rather than just simply one zone.”

It should be noted there are no plans for Mario related DLC for the game, but wouldn’t it be neat if they somehow crafted a full blown Zelda world with multiple zones? Would you like to see more Zelda based DLC in Sonic?
