Songs of Zelda Kickstarter (Updated)

Have you ever wondered what Zelda music sounded like with an Irish twist to it? Well, if not, I bet you’re wondering now. As we previously shared, the talented music composer and conductor- including that of the epic Symphony of the Goddesses- Eimear Noone is trying to bring this combination to life with her kickstarter for an album called Songs of Zelda: A Link to the Celts. After attending 2015 Dublin iDIG Music Fest and hearing a beautiful Irish rendition of the music that has become such a big part of her life, Noone knew that this sound had to be shared with the world.

I was already a giddy mess once I heard the first few songs, but- and I don’t know about you guys- as soon as the Wind Waker piece started, I turned into a pile of mush! What an exciting project! And, as Noone said in the video, there is a way for you to help, even if it’s just a minor contribution. Following this link to the kickstarter’s main page, you can back this journey and pledge some money to help get it on its feet.
Noone’s goal is to raise at least $30,000 by Wednesday, July 15th in order to fund this campaign. With a little over three weeks left and a current count of over $26,000, I’d say that she and the DIT Irish Traditional Music Ensemble are so close to achieving their dreams! And if that funding goal is reached, Noone plans on recording around September- November this year, with an album release date around April of 2016.
