Nintendo announced on Twitter yesterday that they were officially changing the release date for Smash Bros. Wii U in PAL regions; that means Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.

The new release date is November 28th, 2014: still a full week after the North American release, but a week earlier than what was expected for these regions.

This includes every version of the game, like the Wii U bundle, and the Gamecube controller adapter set.

Nintendo hasn’t said anything about why they’ve decided to change the date, but this is certainly good news for fans in these regions.

Are you excited to get your smash on a week early? Let us know in the comments!
