Skyward Sword Link’s origin

Have you ever wondered about Link’s past in Skyward Sword? If he had parents or siblings? Or how he and Zelda first met? An amazing video was recently created by FerisaeArt on YouTube who has created a animatic, comic styled video based on their interpretations of what they think life was like for Link before the beginning of his journey to becoming the goddesses’ chosen hero and how his friendship with Zelda began and how it became to be what it was throughout the game Skyward Sword. The animatic is very well done and each picture’s art captures the moment and each character’s emotion perfectly. The video is very emotional and gives an interesting concept of life before the surface came to be known and the prophecy was to be fulfilled. The video also gives an interesting take as to what happened to not only Link’s parents but Zelda’s mother.

The design for Link’s father was very clever as you could clearly see the resemblance between them but without him looking exactly like an older Link as some other fan artworks do. Another clever thing that was done and I don’t know if it was intentional by the artist was that young Zelda looks quite similar to Zelda as a child in Ocarina of Time.
