zelda-3ds-580x418With the release of A Link Between Worlds looming, the special edition 3DS XL is now available for preorders at various retailers. This time around you’ll be glad to hear that GameStop isn’t your only option, and the other two places you can purchase the bundle are Walmart and Toys ‘R’ Us.

Additionally, if you’re curious about what exactly is in the box, we also have available an excellent unboxing by Destructoid available to watch. So hit that jump to see the details and watch the unboxing!

Firstly, while preorders are open now, this bundle will be available for $220 on November 22nd at all three retailers, though it seems GameStop and Toys ‘R’ Us are the only sites that will ship it to your house. Currently Walmart doesn’t have any shipping details, but presumably will have your preordered system available for pickup in-store.

The bundle includes the custom gold 3DS XL with the dark and light colored triforce. You also will be able to download A Link Between Worlds to your system.

And now for the unboxing by Destructoid!

So it’s not that exciting. In fact, other than the sheet of paper with the download code for A Link Between Worlds, it’s the same as a regular 3DS XL. But the gold and black of this limited edition system does admittedly look a ton better than other 3DS XL colors. It’s perfect if you don’t have a 3DS or 3DS XL system yet, or you simply would like another one!

I personally prefer the special edition Ocarina of Time 3D 3DS, but that’s just my preference. Both look amazing, and that $220 price point for both the system and game are hard to beat.

What do you think? Will you be getting this system? Let us know in the comments!
