Four years on, and Breath of The Wild‘s cooking has inspired a myriad of culinary enthusiasts to recreate Link’s wilderness menu. From a home chef who has self-published a Zelda Cookbook, to the staff of Polygon, sharing the experience of cooking like Link can truly connect the Zelda community. Even top-flight YouTube channels like Nerdy Nummies and iJustine have tested their mettle with Hylian cuisine.

And if, like me, YouTube cooking videos populate your feed, you’ve likely come across Buzzfeed’s Tasty channel. This past week, host Hannah Williams took on the challenge of open-fire cooking to make Breath of The Wild‘s Mushroom Risotto. She even gets an assist from YouTube cooking giant Andrew Rhea (Binging with Babish), whose Breath of the Wild episode has nearly 6 million views.

Hannah wades through the challenges of campfire cooking with aplomb, sharing her slip-ups and successes right up to the final taste test. The process is well worth a watch, and a worthy addition to what has basically become its own subgenre on YouTube: video game cooking. We’ve come a long way from picking turkey dinners out of the trash in Final Fight!

What did you think of Hannah’s Mushroom Risotto results? Are there any YouTube chefs you enjoy who have made Breath of the Wild dishes? Or maybe you’ve hit the kitchen (or campfire) yourself and done better than Dubious Food? Tell us about it in the comments!
