Fire Emblem Awakening wireless details emerge!

Fire Emblem Awakening is just a month away in Japan, and so Nintendo’s slowly trickling out more details about the game’s wireless connectivity features. It’ll take advantage of StreetPass, SpotPass, and local wireless play. As we already knew, you can team up for “Dual Tag” battles, where you and a friend each submit three of your warriors for a team mission. The addition of joint attacks between two characters should make this particularly cool, as you and your partner’s custom “My Unit” characters can attack the same enemy in tandem.

As for StreetPass and SpotPass, you’ll be able to exchange your My Unit character with others via StreetPass. Collected custom characters can even be recruited to join your army. SpotPass will be used for the distribution of some additional maps alongside paid download content.

Nintendo also released a series of screenshots as well as an image of a second prepaid download card which will be available in Japan alongside the game’s April 19 release date.
