Listen To This Haunting Rendition of “Ballad of the Wind Fish”

Zelda fans are less than one week away from the release of Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch. Over the past few weeks, there have been many previews and trailers released. Overall, these previews have given viewers a better look at the remake including its visual design, features, and soundtrack. One way for Zelda fans to prep themselves for the remake is to listen to covers and new arrangements of songs from Link’s Awakening. Fortunately, the music community has showed a renewed interest in the game since the big announcement earlier this year.
This haunting rendition of “Ballad of the Wind Fish” from GLASYS and Maiah Wynne is an intriguing rearrangement of a classic tune. GLASYS’s minimalist electronic sounds provide a perfect background for Maiah Wynne’s beautiful vocals. It’s a beautiful, if not bitter sweet rendition of the song. It will be interesting to compare this version of the song to the version found in the remake.
