With the recent release of Majora’s Mask 3D, artists everywhere have been creating a wide variety of Majora’s Mask-related fan merchandise available for purchase. If you’re in the market for a high-quality replica of Majora’s Mask, look no further. A project has shown up on Kickstarter.com, by Joesph Tai, for a beautiful mask made of polyurethane resin with fiberglass reinforcement. If the picture on the Kickstarter is anything to go by, you can expect a mask with vibrant colors and a glossy finish. The project is already half funded, with 14 days remaining to reach a goal of $2,000. How much you pledge will determine how complete the replica you receive in the mail will be.

Assuming the Kickstarter reaches its goal, a pledge of $100 will get you an unfinished, unpainted mask for you to complete. This one will not be sanded or primed; it is only a raw cast of the mask. If you are looking for a mask that is a little closer to completion but you feel confident in your painting ability, then you might consider putting a little extra toward the $150 pledge reward. This one is sanded, primed, and ready to paint, with the added bonus of straps and a foam block, so you can make a completed mask you can wear.

For the rest of us who don’t have the time or the artistic ability to recreate the stunning vibrancy of the above image, a pledge of $200 will get you the complete package, fully painted, clear coated, with foam comfort blocks and straps, all ready to go. If you are looking to get this mask for display only, then send a quick message to the artist and he can leave out the straps and foam.

These costs include shipping fees for anywhere in the contiguous United States, though he will ship elsewhere for an additional shipping charge. The mask is 14″ high, 15.5″ wide, and 2″ deep. The artist estimates it will take about 8 weeks for the masks to ship, presumably from the date the Kickstarter ends. For more information and photos, check out the Kickstarter page.

Are you planning on getting one of these masks or wish you could? Have you ever purchased game replicas online before? Tell us in the comments!
