Fan Theory: The Triforce Is Evil

ProtoMario, on Youtube, has released a new Zelda Theory revolving around the possibility of the Triforce and the Goddesses of Hyrule being evil. In the video, ProtoMario suggests that the Goddesses made the Triforce with absolutely no purpose in mind other than that of all their creations pursuing it. So, ProtoMario asks, why even make the Triforce in the first place?

As we all know, when one touches the Triforce, any wish will be granted. But why make such a relic when forces of evil long to obtain it for themselves? To answer this question, the video touches upon the notion that the Goddesses don’t care about any of their other creations in Hyrule and only care for the Triforce. As much sense as that idea makes in terms of explaining the Triforce’s existence, the Goddesses also created Hyrule. So why would they only care for one of their creations and not the others?

That said, ProtoMario accurately points out that the Goddesses will only intervene when the Triforce is threatened but not when the inhabitants of Hyrule are in peril. As an example, the lore of The Wind Waker indicates that the people of Hyrule prayed to the Goddesses in their grim time of need, but their prayers were not answered as their kingdom fell into chaos, and Ganondorf took power.
