Screenshot_26Zelda fan Joseph Zawada has created a magnificent Lego version of Hyrule Castle, as it is seen in Twilight Princess, his favourite game in the series. Make the jump to check out a video on the build, detailing some of Zawada’s greatest challenges when constructing the masterpiece.

As you can see from the above video (an interview by Beyond the Brick), the huge castle build  was shown at the recent BrickFair Virginia 2015, and it is so big that it takes two cars to transport to events! Joseph wanted to make sure that the castle was as faithful to it’s appearance in Twilight Princess as possible, and so took great care when organizing features such as the octagonal blue spires and also the greenery that can be seen growing on and around the castle. It is also littered with Lego minifigures to occupy its tall walls, ranging from custom Link and Zelda minifigures to a hidden Queen Amidala from Star Wars if you look closely!

A crossover between The Legend of Zelda and Lego is one that has been contemplated heavily as of late, as the proposal for Zelda sets on the Lego Ideas website (A site in which fans can vote and submit ideas on Lego sets that should be manufactured)  has been made many times. It seems as though Nintendo and Lego are struggling to come to an agreement. Would you like to see Link and Zelda in Lego form? What famous scenes from the series would you like to be rebuilt ‘brick by brick’? Join in the discussion below!
