Famitsu Survey Reveals Zelda the Most Wanted Game on Wii U

A recent survey by Japanese magazine Famitsu reveals that of all potential games for the Wii U fans want to see Zelda the most. In the survey Zelda received more than twice the amount of votes than the next runner up Super Mario.

Following its recent look at PlayStation Vita, Famitsu released the results of a Wii U reader survey this week. The magazine asked Famitsu.com visitors to respond to questions about a variety of Wii U issues. Here are the major results, as summed up at Sokuho@Hokanko.

What series do you want to see released on Wii U?
1,130 votes, multiple responses okay
Zelda (210 votes), Super Mario Bros. (100 votes), Dragon Quest (80 votes), Mario Kart (50 votes), Monster Hunter (50 votes)

I cannot say I am too surprised, after viewing those clips of a HD Zelda game during the E3 presentation I was immediately taken by the idea of another Zelda game on the next console. Since that time I have been waiting for any more information regarding a Zelda title for the Wii U. I believe it was those clips Nintendo made for the Wii U presentation that instantly made every Zelda fan craving a Zelda game for the system. Normally scenes like that cause a majority to believe that they are indeed working on a future game and we just might be viewing a few teasers from it. However each time a new Nintendo system comes out I know I always wish for a new Zelda title for it. It may be simply wishful thinking by fans of the series.
