Last March, we announced that Elliot Quest, a game that pays homage to the second Zelda title, Zelda II, was releasing on the Wii U eShop after being available on Steam for some time. It appears as if the game has been very successful on Nintendo’s newest home console, as Elliot Quest will be receiving a 3DS edition some time in 2016.

Don’t know too much about the game itself? Elliot’s Quest is a unique RPG/adventure game, which contains an interesting story:

Warning: Spoilers

Elliot can’t die—but he’s still running out of time. In Elliot Quest, the victim of a rare curse must find a cure before he’s transformed into a demon.

After Elliot’s wife disappears, he falls sick and attempts to take his own life–only to discovers that he can’t die. Plagued by nightmares and growing weaker by the day, Elliot seeks out a local Sage, who tells him that he’s the victim of a rare curse. A demon called a Satar is slowly consuming Elliot’s vitality. –Metacritic

End Spoilers

I have yet to purchase the game, but I’m thinking of playing it now. The pixelated art style seems very well put-together, which is a big draw for 8-bit fans such as myself. Does Elliot Quest interest you? Consider sharing your thoughts with us by commenting below.
