Super Mario 3D Land Screen

Super Mario 3D Land was slated for release in Australia on Thursday November 24th, the same day as Skyward Sword. However, as we reported mere days ago, Gametraders has been selling imported European copies of the game since last week. Well, as would be expected, EB Games isn’t going to let Gametraders go uncontested, so are selling their Australian versions of the game as soon as they arrive.

Ultimately, this means EB games is selling Super Mario 3D Land two days early. It will be available tomorrow (Tuesday November 22nd). While I can’t say I support retailers selling games before they are allowed, this will unfortunately always ensue until release dates are more consistent worldwide. Nevertheless, this at least gives those of us in Australia some chance of giving Mario’s 3D debut a fair go before Skyward Sword comes out on Thursday. Although, what are the chances of that being sold early too?

This is quoted from a text message sent from EB games to those who have the game preordered:

“Hi Dathen Great News! Pick up Super Mario 3D Land 3DS from EB Games when it arrives in store 2morrow.”
