Daily Debate: What Do You Think of the Different Atmosphere of The Wind Waker’s Earth Temple?

After hearing so many differing opinions on the Earth Temple in The Wind Waker, I’ve noticed that it is one of the most controversial dungeons in the entire Legend of Zelda series. There is never really a general consensus on whether it is a good or bad dungeon. The source of this controversy is the darkness within this labyrinth. Some people hate the dungeon because it is a complete change in atmosphere from the entire rest of the game. The Wind Waker is a very light and colorful video game as a whole, but the Earth Temple is the complete opposite of that. The dungeon is very dark and grey with very little color to offer. And yet, that’s the exact same reason why some people like the dungeon. It’s a little bit creepy, and they like the different ambiance of the dungeon.
