It’s almost Halloween, which means it’s the perfect excuse to dress up as your favorite Zelda character.  It’s time to pull your costumes out, or get sewing if you prefer to make your own new one.  But then comes the ultimate choice — which character should you actually dress up as?

The Zelda universe has a plethora of characters and creatures to dress up as, and some of them really fit the Halloween theme.  An obvious choice would be to wrap yourself up in bandages and become a Gibdo, especially because the costume shouldn’t take much work to look the part.  If you’d prefer to emulate a Redead, you could grab a brown all-over bodysuit and paint your face to petrify your friends instead.  And of course, you could always be a witch in the style of Maple and Syrup from Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages.

If you don’t necessarily want to follow the spooky trend, why not dress up as our favorite hero?  Using cardboard, paint and tinfoil, you can craft yourself a sword and shield.  Then grab a green tunic, a hat, some white tights, and you’ve got yourself a homemade Link!  If you’ve got fellow Zelda fans in your household, they could even dress up as Princess Zelda and Ganondorf to complete the look.

Personally, if I didn’t dress up as Link, my costume would likely be a Poe.  I’d make my costume with bright, rich purples and greens and carry my own lantern!

So, which Zelda character would you like to dress up as for Halloween?  Let us know in the comments below!
