Your trial begins. A hush settles over the anxious crowd. The judge sits on his high bench, stroking his mighty beard and gazing forth with a baleful eye. Nearby, the bailiff stands ominously with a great axe in his hands. The stakes could not be higher. After all, you were found alone in the castle’s storeroom, surrounded by broken pots. No one messes with the king’s tableware and gets away with it. The evidence is incriminating. There is no way to prove that Link committed the crime (can’t exactly ask him to testify). The prosecutor proceeds with his opening statement. Beads of sweat dribble down your neck. Your defender still hasn’t arrived. The judge is now calling for witnesses. No one rises to clear your name. The bailiff is eagerly testing the edge of his axe–the judge is preparing to announce sentence. With a whoosh the court doors burst open. A mighty voice calls out “OBJECTION!!!” Who is this mysterious stranger? That is for you to decide.

What Zelda character do you think would make the best lawyer? Who is cunning enough to sway hearts and minds with a swave personality and charismatic speech? Would it be the likes of Tingle? No, they wouldn’t even let him in the courtroom. Ravio perhaps? The bunny ears might not fit the dress code. How about the hulking Daruk? After all, not all lawyers need to be thin and gangly. Personally, I could see Zunari from The Wind Waker fitting the role. That man is nothing if not determined and persuasive. He could probably get a witness to admit anything on the stand.

But what do you think? Who in Hyrule would you trust to be your attorney? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
