Daily Debate: Which Character From the Original Hyrule Warriors Would You Bring into Age of Calamity?

When Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was unveiled this past September, I immediately became eager to see how the game would handle its roster. Considering the game was marketed as a Breath of the Wild prequel, I figured it would be difficult to include many playable characters beyond the ones who were initially shown — you know, without relegating those characters to a side mode separate from the main story.

As it turns out, Age of Calamity — like its 2014 predecessor — features time travel. And though this addition may compromise the game’s status as a proper Breath of the Wild prequel, it sure does allow for a robust and varied selection of characters. Now, the roster as it is is purely focused on Breath of the Wild’s world. However, as far as I’m concerned, Pandora’s box is already open; and considering the game is already the highest-selling Warriors title, I think DLC is inevitable. With that said, I wouldn’t be shocked if we saw at least one guest character from the original Hyrule Warriors make their way into this game.

This begs the question: if you could pick only one character, who among the first game’s roster would you want to see included? For me, it’d be so wonderfully surreal to see Midna re-interpreted in Breath of the Wild’s art style, not to mention that her move-sets across both forms were my favorites.
