Daily Debate: Which Game Sits At The Bottom Of Your Zelda Tier List?
Posted on June 26 2019 by David Nystrom
Sometimes a game comes along in a series that stands out. It is a paragon of the elements in the series and on a level untouchable by all the others. It is memorable, it is unique, and it is absolutely the most awful version of the best thing ever.
That’s right. I’m talking bottom of the barrel bad. We all have a game in the Zelda series that comes to mind when thinking of the greatest, but what about the worst? This is in no way saying that there are “bad” games– especially when talking about Zelda games– but simply saying there are games that deserve that bottom tier ranking.
While I think it was crucial to the development of the series as a whole, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link sits in my bottom slot. The story was fine, but the gameplay has always been troublesome for me, no matter which system I’ve played it on.
So which game, or games, do you think belong at the lowest level of a Zelda tier list? Is there one that stands out as just bad? Let us know in the comments below, or over in our Discord!
