Hyrule Warriors featured a lot of different types of missions. Some were escort missions, others were objective based until a boss appeared, and then there were missions that involved defeating commanders and then the enemy general. I would imagine that many of those missions would transfer over into Age of Calamity when it releases later this year, but I do hope that we see a few other types of missions.

Knowing that the game is set in the world of Breath of the Wild, I would hope that some of the missions in the new game will be larger boss fights. Some of the boss fights in Hyrule Warriors involved using certain weapons to hit a weak point and that would down the enemy. I could see that returning, but sometimes the bosses felt really easy. I would like to see harder boss fights as missions. I would also like to see missions that involve merely surviving the onslaught of enemies. Most of the time in Hyrule Warriors you were hacking and slashing your way through the hoards and as the mission progressed those hoards would thin 0ut as you reach an end objective. But what if the hoards never thinned out? What if the goal was to survive a set amount of time until you reached safety? It would be very different and I think I would enjoy a greater challenge like that.

What do you think? What kind of missions would you like to see in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity? Sound off in the comments below.
