The Legend of Zelda has a variety of different enemies in various locations, all with one intention: Make Link deader than dead. The plan is usually wait until any green-hatted fairy boy comes around then jump out and attack with whatever they’ve got on them. But the thing that’s on my mind is: What do they do until he gets there?

It’s hard to imagine every Lizalfos or Bokoblin just sitting around for days and days on end. They must do something, right? I’m sure many of the more animalistic enemies like Skulltulas and Keese have sort of their daily routine of eating flies and coming out as a nuisance more than a threat. The anthropomorphic ones, however, I like to imagine sit around playing cards, or having intense games of Rock, Paper, Scissors! It’s also likely that they’re just napping on the job…

What do you think? What are all of the enemies doing while waiting for Link? Or do you think they’re probably just a bunch of programmed enemies and we’re thinking too hard about it? Let us know in the comments below!
