Heresy! Blasphemy! A Nintendo game on a non-nintendo piece of technology? Some wouldn’t mind that. In fact, it may be a good chance for Nintendo to get a hold in the PR field again. I’m not talking about releasing Zelda U for the PS4 or the XBox One, but rather on a platform most everyone has: the home computer.

Think about it! Those who don’t own a Wii U and can’t afford one won’t have to worry about it anymore because they’ll be able to log on to Steam and download the newest Zelda masterpiece right to their PC. Alternatively, they can go to any store that sells PC games and pick up a physical copy for their computer’s disk drive.

On the other hand, do we really want those PC casuals skipping buying a Wii U? (I’m joking about “PC casuals,” I’m a big PC gamer myself.) I’m 100% sure Nintendo will be relying on Zelda U to generate more Wii U sales. Let’s face it, the Wii U is a struggling console with a hurtful lack of 3rd party support. (I’m sorry, Iwata!)

What is your opinion? Would you enjoy navigating the open world of Zelda U with mouse-and-keyboard controls? Would Zelda U being ported to the PC be a welcome option for players? Join the Daily Debate in the comments below.
