Spoilers for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity spoilers below. Read at your own risk!

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity’s second wave of DLC, Guardian of Remembrance has been out for a little over a week now. Many fans of the hack and slash style accompaniment to Breath of the Wild have been enjoying the new story elements, features, and new characters. Personally I have been playing as much as I can and I’m enjoying all of the new content! Now that the DLC is out in the world, what are your thoughts on it?

As I mentioned, I’m really enjoying all of the new content; my favorite being the addition of the new characters. Robbie and Purah being added to the roster of playable characters has been awesome, along with the mystery character that you can unlock from one of the story missions. Out of the two characters though, the mystery character is my favorite. I am also enjoying the added story too, I love that it really focuses more on Terrako and his memories. The story paints him as the little Guardian hero that we all know and love, and it fills in some gaps from the original story too. I will say that some of the new story elements left me scratching my head a bit, but I enjoyed it none the less. The added Memory Quests in side of the larger quest gave a greater challenge that reminded me of the original Hyrule Warriors challenge maps. I haven’t finished all of the smaller quests myself, but if you do there is a fun little reward for your efforts. Another added element that I’ve greatly enjoyed is the beautiful new weapons that each of the Champions receive. The game designers really outdid themselves, and it makes me wish that those weapons were featured in the original Breath of the Wild game.
