Nintendo fan projects are often viewed with great interest, such as the unofficial, fan-made Metroid 2 remake released in 2016. One of the more interesting Zelda fan projects currently being worked on is an Ocarina of Time remake using Unreal Engine 4. The project has been updated recently, and the creator, CryZENx, plans to extend it beyond the current available areas next year. Currently, CryZENx has shown off the Kokiri Forest and the Great Deku Tree dungeon, complete with Gohma boss fight.

The project is looking absolutely incredible. The mechanics run smoothly, Link’s animations look fluid, and the Slingshot functions perfectly. This truly is a wonderfully made project with a great deal of obvious care put into it. If CryZEN ever finishes it, I do hope they find employment as a game developer with this skill set.

What do you think of the project? Let us know down below!
