Come Listen to this Jazzy Cover of Kakariko Village’s Theme

Jazz is one of the rarer genres when one thinks of video game covers, but the Consouls over on YouTube have taken the tune of A Link to the Past‘s Kakariko Village theme and turned it into a swanky jazz remix. It is one of the more memorable themes from the game and, as it is heard quite early, likely stuck in the minds of many. The remix features a full band and even a saxaphone for the authentic jazz experience.

I don’t generally listen to jazz or jazz remixes, but this cover made me dig into the Consouls’ other work. And they have quite a few covers from a wide variety of genres. From Sonic, to Monster Hunter, to Final Fantasy, there’s something for everyone to enjoy with a new jazzy flavor.
