Collection Spotlight: The Ocarinist

Greetings once again Zelda Fans. This week’s Collection Spotlight offers us another unique stockpile. While lacking many games, Karina has focused on the pronunciation of her name to build and make her collection one of a kind. Also included is a must-have for every Zelda collector in this week’s Collection Selection.

My name is Karina. I am 21 and live in a small town in Southern Oregon. I am a full-time college student pursuing a major in Zoology and Animal Behavior. I currently work part-time at college and my remaining time is spent at the local GameStop. When I am not insanely busy, I have a full-blown obsession with Zelda! I started at a young age and have forever been enthralled by the series! I do not have quite a large collection, but one day I will have my reward! This coming September, a group of friends and I are going to a cosplay convention in Portland as characters from Twilight Princess! You can only guess who I am going as! Hint: his spin attack packs a punch!
I don’t have many games but the focal point of my collection is my collection of ocarinas. I own and play several ocarinas and take pride in the fact that my name, while spelled incorrectly, lies within the instrument’s title itself! The ocarina box was made by my younger brother.

Weekly Collection Selection:
This week’s Collection Selection fits with Karina’s collection. The ocarina is one item every Zelda collector should possess. This ocarina is a replica of what our hero would’ve used in Ocarina of Time. I don’t have an exact replica yet but it is definitely on my list of additions because this instrument sounds beautiful.
This is just one of many available, but I just included this to act as a jumping off point for further searching. These ocarinas come in many varieties. Happy hunting and I hope you find an addition that makes your collection even more unique.
