BLw4FX8CAAE5uiKHey ZD, my name is Tyler and I’m starting a segment that I hope you like. “Collection Spotlight” is a chance for Zelda fans to show their passion for our beloved man in green through the things we have collected and to talk a little bit about ourselves.

For the first post, I will feature my own collection to give you a feel for how this is set up. At the end of the post, I will be asking for personal submissions so I can feature everyone’s collections. Hit the jump to dive into this first treasure trove.

Hey ZD readers, as I said my name is Tyler. I’m 19 and from Ohio but I’ve recently transplanted to Manhattan. The Zelda series has been in my life ever since I was six years old and I finally managed to play Ocarina of Time, which belonged to my brother.

I’m absolutely in love with the Zelda series. I started collecting two years ago when I realized I wanted to possess every game in its complete form. My collection focuses mostly on games, books, and soundtracks. After I acquired most of them, I realized I needed something to hold everything. I looked online for “how-to” on building a miniature Zelda chest. I took the measurements and multiplied all of them by 3 and came up with this:

The chest stands about three and half feet high, the inside is lined with red velvet, and the top dome is bent and molded boarding.

In closing I ask, would you like to see your collection spotlighted on the website? Do you want to share how you got into Zelda and show off the items you have and are proud of owning? Send me an email at tyler@zeldadungeon.net using the basic structure I have. Include some pictures, a little background of who you are, how you got into Zelda, your first Zelda game, a listing of the items you have now, what you hope to own in the future, and your favorite item. OR, if you didn’t like my set up, send me your version of how you want your collection showcased.

Also feel free to comment on whatever you like. Ask me about how I built the chest, where I got this item or that, or if you want to talk Zelda items, please by all means, I love talking about all these different books, games, and trinkets.

See you next time.
