Split-screen gameplay in the Zelda series? Trust me, you’re not imagining this concept. Creator CryZENx has outdone themselves, having accelerated their fan-made Ocarina of Time remake utilizing the Unreal Engine 4 to now showcase cooperative gameplay, as seen in their latest video release.

CryZENx’s YouTube channel highlights some of the amazing achievements in creating their Unreal Engine 4 remake of Ocarina of Time, a project they’ve been working on for over half a decade. CryZENx has added unique lighting and animation changes to the gameplay. Never before have I seen a version of Ocarina of Time look so crisp and vibrant!

In the cooperative gameplay, we are able to gaze upon two young Links, one in the classic green tunic and another in maroon garb. Our two heroes traverse Kokiri Forest and interact in stunning ways. This gameplay makes me wish Nintendo would create a three-dimensional The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures.
