It’s cardboard day. As you’re hauling all your old Amazon boxes to the curb, have you ever stopped to think of all the things this cardboard could be recycled into? Sure, many of us made cardboard rocket ships when we were young. But did you ever think it could become something as cool as Link’s Master Cycle Zero from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? I didn’t, not until I saw Crafty Transformer‘s latest video on YouTube.

This project is absolutely amazing. As I first watched the video, I thought that there was an actual bicycle underneath all that cardboard. I was blown away to find that I was mistaken. The Master Cycle Zero is made entirely out of cardboard. I have to admit, I was more blown away by this fan creation than the actual Master Cycle in Breath of the Wild‘s DLC.

The Master Cycle Zero was probably my least favorite thing about Breath of the Wild. It was a fun addition but ultimately did not hold my interest for more than a few minutes of off-roading Hyrule-style. I didn’t even bother with the quests to obtain it on my second playthrough. But now, after seeing Crafty Transformer’s video, I suddenly feel compelled to go zooming around on Link’s magic dirt bike once again.

The video is a DIY, or Do it Yourself; and although they go through the process in great detail, I highly doubt I could replicate the cycle nearly as well. Still, I don’t need to own a cardboard Master Cycle Zero to appreciate it. This cardboard cycle can only be described as a work of art. And if you do happen to craft one at home, be forewarned, there are no brakes or any way to steer. So please wear a helmet.
