Brooke Surgener’s “Be Your Babe” Zelda Cosplay Music Video Impresses

While some feel the Zelda community and fanbase is a rather toxic place, it’s always nice remembering just how truly amazing the fan base can be as well. This is the case with an original song by Zelda fan Brooke Surgener. She creates, as she self describes, a music video blog that features original music, covers, and more, all done by herself (and her supporting cast). The song is titled “Be Your Babe” and it features more than just Zelda related cosplay. The song and video itself tell a story of how Malon (Brooke) has a crush on Link but can’t find a way to tell him. It’s a classic longing love story told in a rather unique fashion, as several Zelda characters seemingly get involved in the tale.

It ends on a rather touching realization that that she possibly misread all the signs and that the entire song, nay, Zelda fantasy, was all in her mind. However, it doesn’t change how she feels about a particular person that she imagined to be her very own Link. The music video was filmed and edited by Justin P.
