Breath of the Wild Wins IGN’s Game of the Year 2017 Award

Breath of the Wild has been a big success since the day it released in March. On top of winning the Game of the Year at The Game Awards, Breath of the Wild has now won IGN‘s Game of the Year People’s Choice Award for 2017. The runner up for the award was Super Mario Odyssey, so it seems that Nintendo has made a mark on this year with the Switch and its two well-known franchises.
Other nominated games included Cuphead, Destiny 2, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Nier: Automata, Persona 5, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. After such a momentous event, it is hard to say what to expect in gaming for the next year, but, if this year is any indication, the future seems promising.
