A well-known recent example is in Tears of the Kingdom when Link hums little songs from the series when he’s cooking. There’s many others, of course, but after more than 35 years, the Zelda series has had an influence on other creators as well. Sometimes these influences show up in other media. It’s great to know there’s other fans out there creating and…

Music is an essential aspect of video games. Much like a movie’s soundtrack, good video game music enhances the player experience. It lets us know if a dilapidated building is supposed to be sad or spooky.  The Legend of Zelda series is certainly no exception. There’s everything from sweeping ballads to quiet, contemplative pieces that provide just the right amount of atmosphere. What sets the Zelda series apart is that Link often plays an instrument that serves some kind of purpose…

Each game is unique to its own system, year it was published, and the particular gimmick or gameplay feature that makes it stand out among the rest. Fans often group the games together if they are similar in style or gameplay. They can also be grouped according to the official timeline, which has its own separate chronological eras. However, in recent interviews with series producer Eiji…

The latest Zelda adventure picked up Game of the Year nods from both IGN and Game Informer. And while it did fall short of The Game Award’s Game of the Year, it did take home Best Action/Adventure game. Famitsu, the Japanese gaming magazine, recently announced Tears of the Kingdom as…
