A Link to the Past Intro Comic

Recently Zac Gorman posted an animated comic of his take on the introduction to A Link to the Past. Hardly does one stumble upon a piece so simple yet atmospheric. It captures the essence of the dark opening to one of Zelda’s greatest titles, pouring emotion and a feeling of sadness into the piece that the actual in-game introduction could never achieve. Link’s uncle goes out at exposition of the game and tells Link to stay in bed in order to protect him. We all know that he was trying to rescue Princess Zelda, the damsel in distress, but tragically fell short. Zac’s comic reaches a level of despair and loneliness that other comics cannot. Screw lightheartedness, now make the jump to read the comic.

So what do you think of Zac’s newest work? Did it strike a chord with you? Because it sure did with me. Feel free to let us know what you think about his comic in the comments below!
