When A Link Between Worlds was first launched, this game was highly praised for its style and gameplay features. The graphics on the 3DS were never the best, however, there are some beautiful looking games on there, and A Link Between Worlds was one of the games that were given praise for its visual upgrade by bringing the past into the present. Then, the Citra emulator came out and allowed people with higher specs on their PCs to alter the graphics of the game, giving them a beautiful 1080p overhaul.

One of these games to be given the 1080p treatment by fans is A Link Between Worlds, and it looks beautiful. The graphical upgrade has given this game some noticeable positive changes such as the fact that all edges on character models have disappeared, giving the models a beautiful but strange smoothness. Another positive change that can be seen from the tutorial segment of this game is the fact that effects such as fog seem to have been turned up, making them seem more realistic.

However, when the effects within a game are turned up there are going to be effects that suffer, and there was one that bugged me throughout this video. It only became truly apparent once the player had entered the graveyard tunnels. This would be that the lighting effect has been turned up far too much, meaning that even in the areas that are supposed to be dark are now fully lit even without the lamp—even once the player has the lamp this artificially creates darkness where the lamps area of effect ends

What do you guys think? Are the graphical upgrades enough to get more people interested in this game? As always let us know your thoughts down below.
