Windmill Hut – Time’s End

This week on Windmill Hut I’m going to share some of my absolute favorite Zelda fan music: Time’s End – Majora’s Mask Remixed. This album, by Overclocked Remix contributor Theophany, was released on December 21, 2012 in “celebration” of the supposed end of the world.

Luckily, however, the end of the world never came, and six months later we can still enjoy this fantastic album. Hit the jump for a listen!

My personal favorite three tracks are Clocktown, Moon’s Tear, and Lover’s Mask, however all of tracks are fantastic, and if you have time, you should listen to the whole album through. The artist, Theophany, is asking for $.50 (or as much as you want) on bandcamp, however if you can’t afford that he does have free album downloads listed on that page.

As many of you probably remember, the excitement for this album was high when the announcement of the website Time’s End was made popular. At the time, the counter was counting down to December 21, and the details of the music were a mystery. When the time finally came, visiting the site caused the mask to go berserk and for “Lover’s Mask” to begin playing. It was dramatic and exciting, and definitely added to the release of the music.

Fortunately for us, Theophany stated on the website that there will be more music to come, and it will “eventually cover the entire soundtrack”. That sounds like a huge feat, but I’m excited for when he releases new music, hopefully not too far from now!

What did you think of the music? And are you excited for more? Tell us in the comments!
