Skyward Sword: Update on Pre-Order Numbers

With just days until the release of Skyward Sword, the second to last pre-order update is in. In the latest update, Skyward Sword picked up 98,708 pre-orders, giving it a total of 691,562 pre-orders in the North America alone. These numbers are as of the week ending November 12th, so there will be one last entry to go next week to get the near final pre-order numbers. With most reviews at online websites coming out on November 11th, this gave fans just two days to head out to the store and pre-order. Based on all the high review scores the game has gotten, I imagine fans are flooding out to their local game stores to reserve their copy of the game.

I’m expecting well over 100,000 pre-orders in the next week alone, bringing it at a total of well over 800,000 in America. I’m unsure about the European numbers, but it sure is looking like Skyward Sword is going to be a multi-million unit seller in its first few weeks alone.
