Throughout many discussions among the writers here at Zelda Dungeon, we have always found it bizarre that there hasn’t yet been an officially licensed Zelda tabletop RPG. Not only is the money there, but there is a vast part of the Zelda fanbase that loves playing tabletop games too. Members of the fanbase have therefore created their own Zelda-inspired tabletop RPG’s, and today we’re looking at one of the newest ones to enter the fray.

Created by Elemental Knight, The Legend of Zelda: Reclaim the Wild is a free, fan-made tabletop RPG set in the land of Hyrule and is primarily structured around Breath of the Wild. Elemental Knight has been a fan of the series since the original The Legend of Zelda. When he got around to finishing up the newest Zelda title, which he thoroughly enjoyed, he wanted more of what he experienced. Elemental Knight then took the next two years to build and create Reclaim the Wild.

Based on what I’ve seen and read through so far, this project is VERY impressive. The rules alone demonstrate some pretty good attention to detail. The amount of detail added to each and every beast in the bestiary is just mind-boggling. And this is not just Elemental Knight doing all of this either, as he’s gathered many artists and friends to help build all of what you see in the manuals for this game.

Make sure to check out the official website for Reclaim the Wild to not only download everything you’ll need to play the game but updates for it as well. Also, take a look at the images below to get a small taste of what to expect from Elemental Knight’s game.
