Daily Debate: Are You Excited to Play Cadence of Hyrule?
Posted on March 20 2019 by Andy Spiteri
In a totally-out-of-left-field move, Nintendo announced earlier today during their Nindies Direct that they were partnering with Vancouver-based Brace Yourself Games to make the dungeon crawling/rhythm music game, Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer feat. The Legend of Zelda (say that ten times fast). This game is a spinoff of both the original Crypt of the NecroDancer game that was released a few years ago, and of course, the Zelda series. Spinoffs are becoming more commonplace among The Legend of Zelda – Hyrule Warriors obviously coming to mind – but I’m not sure anyone saw a rhythm game coming. I myself am stoked to dive into this world, and with Zelda having some of the best music in gaming it seems like a natural fit.
What about you guys? Will you be tapping your feet and nodding your head this spring when Cadence of Hyrule releases, or will you be off to the side, too cool for school, saying you don’t dance? Let us know in the comments below!
