Should Breath of the Wild’s assets be reused for a sequel or for a new title in the series? This girl says, YES! To a sequel that is. I wouldn’t mind assets being reused for a new title, but if Nintendo is going to go as far as creating a new title, I would rather them make something entirely new. Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask were different enough from each other, but Majora’s Mask was still modeled off of Ocarina of Time. The stories were even set in the same worlds; it was a sequel.

I honestly think that a Breath of the Wild sequel would be amazing! I’ve seen so many fans for the game wish that a sequel would pick up at the true ending of the game; Link and Zelda setting off to rebuild Hyrule. I think it would be successful without it feeling like we were playing the same game again. I wouldn’t mind a sequel being set in the same world, but with a rebuilt Hyrule set another 100-200 years after the events of Breath of the Wild.

There are so many things that Nintendo could choose to do for a new title. I’ve often wondered if we won’t see anymore of the world of Breath of the Wild because the game was so successful, why expand on something that was so great? I’m not sure. What are your thoughts? Should Nintendo reuse Breath of the Wild to create a future title or a sequel? Sound off in the comments!
