Caption Contest 175: That Face When You Forget the Last Step on the Stairs
Posted on July 30 2018 by Rod Lloyd
Howdy, my Zelda chums! Are you ready for another exciting edition of Zelda Dungeon’s Caption Contest? The longer I look at the latest redesign of Princess Zelda in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the more I seem to like it. Her face is just so expressive! Don’t get me wrong; I loved her Twilight Princess design in earlier games. But with all my experience in the Smash Bros. screenshots business, I’ve realized that Zelda’s prior look didn’t allow for hilarious faces like the one we see in today’s contest image.
Last Week’s Contest:

And here are our non-photo caption winners:
- The-Spider Battista: “These are getting harder and harder to shove in my chest.”
- TheGronne: “Link and Mipha shippers be like:”
- Cintratton: Putting the Smash in “thank Hylia this thing levitates or else it would smash me to death”
- Lifeoflink: Link: This should be a big enough Valentine’s Day card for Zelda. What do you think, Pit?
Pit: Nice! Look what I got for Lady Palutena.
*Pit pulls out a bag overflowing with hearts.*
This Week’s Contest:
Is Zelda surprised or angry? You decide!
Here are the guidelines:
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
- If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
- Photo editing and manipulation (i.e. Photoshop) is allowed, but these entries will be part of a separate list of winners for this category.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Dungeon. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
