Cave of Trials: Icon vs Icon

Two series go head to head and our Twilight Tournament continues in the newest CAVE OF TRIALS! Last week was quite an emotional competition. We saw Impaz, Agitha, and Malo move on to round two, as well as Yeto defeating his beloved Yeta to secure his place in the next round. This week will pack a greater emotional punch for some as we see neighbor and family go head to head.

Our first bout pits Ilia versus Telma, who helped Ilia in her time of need in Twilight Princess. Both of whom work together to also help save Prince Ralis. Who do you like better?

Second, Ordon resident Rusl goes up against Mayor Bo. Both act as a sort of mentor to Link who grew up in the very same village, but which mentor was the greater?

Things are getting pretty intense in match three as we see Kakariko Village shaman Renado takes on bomb shop owner Barnes. Who will be the King of Kakariko?

Finally, we have a brutally intense final match of round one as Prince Ralis must face his deceased mother, Queen Rutela. Some of the most emotionally resonant moments of the game take place involving these characters, but who gets to move on to round two?

And now for our main event. All were stunned when Amaterasu took the Cave of Trials Championship during our “Inspired by Zelda” week. This left many wondering what the future of this series would be. Thanks to a suggestion from reader Puzzle, we are pitting the face of the Ōkami series against the namesake of our beloved Legend of Zelda series. This is truly a match where everything is on the line, the title, and series reputation. Let’s see what the fans think!
