Posted on August 08 2018 by Sean Gadus
At the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct, Masahiro Sakurai announced that five more characters will be joining the game’s already massive roster. Two will be new fighters, while the other three will serve as echo characters.
The new characters are Castlevania‘s legendary vampire hunter Simon Belmont and Donkey Kong Country villain King K. Rool. The new echo fighters are Richter Belmont (based on Simon Belmont), Dark Samus (based on Samus), and Chrom (based on Roy and Lucina from Fire Emblem).
Sakurai noted that these characters were some of the most requested characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
