Daily Debate: Which Zelda Character Do You Hate the Most?

The Zelda series has quite a selection of likable characters; players don’t have to search for very long to find a character or two that they will love and love forever. But for one extreme there must be another. I think it’s safe to assume there is at least one character in the lands of Zelda that you hate unconditionally. Today we will explore these characters, whether they are annoying, unpleasant, or otherwise unlikable. It’s time to dig deep inside ourselves and explain why we absolutely hate the Zelda characters we hate.
There are few candidates that I already anticipate to occupy some of your hate categories. One such candidate is Navi, whose eagerness to “help” the player is infamous among our fanbase. I can’t think of many Zelda fans that haven’t wanted to mercilessly crush Navi in a clenched fist when that fairy says “Hey!” or “Listen!” Another popular target for hate I expect to see is the ever-so-prevalent Tingle. Tingle’s trademark weirdness and disturbing nature are often polarizing among Zelda fans, even though he seems to be growing in popularity lately. Even with his uncompromising quirkiness, I’m sure there are still a few fans out there that remain adverse to Tingle’s refusal to just go away.
