Hi, everyone. An awaited end has come to a long week, and we’re ready to begin yet another entry in Zelda Informer’s weekly Photoshop Contest. We learned earlier this week that Nintendo has lofty E3 plans for Zelda U, promising two extended demos with an estimated playtime of 90 minutes. Needless to say, we are losing our collective minds with excitement thinking about the possible places these lengthy demos will take us. We won’t know what’s in store for sure until E3, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate using the magic of Photoshop. Share your predictions with us this week, as well as check out the winners of last week’s contest: Zelda Feature Film.

Last Week’s Contest:

After the critical failures of Ratchet & Clank, The Angry Birds Movie, and Warcraft, our faith in video games has been a bit shaken. So, we let contestants pitch some ideas for a Zelda movie to restore that faith.

Challenge Mode

Taking hints from the traditional Hollywood formula for a successful film, our Challenge Mode last week asked contestants to include an Academy Award-winning actor / actress and an explosion in their entries. Artist Redead Link not only accepted the challenge with great results, but also added an emotional layer to this winning entry. The artist’s Zelda feature stars the late, great Robin Williams, whose heartwarming performances earned him an Oscar in Good Will Hunting and actually inspired Redead Link to get into the Zelda series in the first place. An emotional story and action-packed visual makes this the Challenge Mode victor this week.

This Week’s Contest: What Will the Zelda U E3 Demos Look Like?

Nintendo has some big plans for Zelda U at E3 this year:

“Nintendo will offer show attendees two extended demos of the Wii U version of the game that will finally let them step into the wilds of Hyrule and explore some of the grasslands, forests and mountains that they’ve been given mere glimpses of to date.”

“we recommend setting aside 1 – 1.5 hours”

That description has us all buzzing with anticipation as we consider what exactly that demo has in store.

The contest this week is to ‘shop a potential screenshot from Zelda U‘s upcoming E3 demo. Nintendo laid the groundwork with a few straightforward details, but much of the rest is still left to our imaginations. Who will we fight? What types of dungeons will we explore? What quests will we begin in those 90 minutes? Share what you think using both the images in our gallery below and whatever else you may find on the internet.
