Photoshop Contest: Give a Zelda Merchant a New Job

Happy Saturday, all you Zelda fans. I hope you’re ready for yet another ZI Photoshop Contest. Yesterday, our nation celebrated a cavalcade of deals and discounts in what we’ve come to know as Black Friday. This annual blowout of commercialism put many real-life retailers at the front of our minds, sadly leaving some of our favorite Zelda shop owners and merchants out of the fun. We hope to correct this negligence in this week’s contest, as we honor these Zelda vendors by giving them better professions in time for the Black Friday weekend.

This Week’s Contest: Give a New Job to a Zelda Merchant
There have been many memorable merchants and shop owners throughout the Zelda series. From the Bazaar owner, to the Business Scrubs, to the Happy Mask Salesman, these reputable businesspeople deserve to make bundles of rupees off their wares. But with everyone digging through sales catalogues and searching for discounts online, these Zelda merchants may need to find a better job before the Black Friday / Cyber Monday craze ends.
The contest this week is to give a Zelda merchant of your choice a new job. This new job can be based on real-life retail, from department stores, to street vending, to online storefronts. Or you can put these Hyrulian salespeople into a completely brand new profession. As long as they have a different workplace, you’re free to ‘shop anything you want. We have some images in the gallery for you to use, but you can of course use anything you find online too.
General Rules: Submit your entries in the comments section below.
- To save images from the gallery, right click the image in the gallery (without opening the image in lightbox) and select open image in new tab. Go up to the address bar and delete __small from the URL. Hit enter, right click, and save!
- Photoshop is not required to enter the contest. Any image manipulation software can be used to create your entry.
- Some hand-drawn fan art is okay, but your entry must include some image manipulation to be considered.
- If you use another fan’s original assets or likeness, please try to give them credit.
- Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages.
- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
- Have fun and be creative!
Deadline: Submit entries no later than Thursday at midnight: 11:59 p.m. PST on December 1. Entries submitted after this Deadline will not be considered.

1. Your entry must include a real-life businessperson.
