Hey everyone and welcome to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! Zelda II: The Adventure Of Link. Definitely not the most popular Zelda game out there. The sequel to the original game The Legend Of Zelda is a very different kind of Zelda game compared to the ones we know and love. You know those little side scrolling sequences in the dungeons of the original game? Yeah well that basically the entirety of Zelda II except for the overworld, which is top town…

Hey all and welcome to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! Throughout the numerous games in The Legend of Zelda series, we have seen many, many different Link’s. All carrying the spirit of the hero, all named Link. With so many Link’s to choose from, at least one of them has to stand out from the rest. The question we want to find the answer to is which Link is the most heroic. Which Link has the best qualities…

Hi all and welcome to the latest edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! Got any friends that you would like to introduce to the Zelda series? Great, but what game would get them to try out first? There are so many Zelda games out right now that it can be a hard choice. You might recommend to them the easiest game, but is that really the right choice? Maybe you would recommend the game that is the most story driven if…

Hello and welcome everybody, to this week’s Zelda Dungeon Talks. This time around the topic is whether or not a Zelda game is at its best when the game has a light-hearted or dark theme. Somewhere in the middle of that is one of the options as well. Throughout the series, we have seen two Zelda games which are notable for having quite a dark theme. These games are Majora’s Mask and Twilight Princess. In Majora’s Mask you have the constant reminder of death…

Hey everyone and welcome to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! In most Zelda games starting from Ocarina of Time we see Link travelling through Hyrule accompanied by another. A special guide character that gives us hints on where to go and how to accomplish things. Fi, Midna, Navi, Tatl and Celia are all examples of these side characters. Sometimes, these characters can get really interesting and start developing and growing on us more as a character with a significant impact…

Hello and welcome everyone, to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! In most games in the Zelda franchise, there is some sort of gimmick to set the game apart for the rest. The touch screen from Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks or the time travel in Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask are both examples of gimmicks that have differentiated the games from others in the series. The question is however, can Nintendo continue to rely on gimmicks? Personally I believe they don’t…

Hello everybody, and welcome to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! Most of the time, when a new Zelda game is released, we see a few elements that were used in the previous game. An example of this would be instruments. Different versions of Ocarinas have been used throughout the series as well as Harps and even though it isn’t an instrument, the baton. So with the release of Zelda U being heavily anticipated amongst fans worldwide, what elements…

Hello everybody and welcome to this week’s edition of Zelda Dungeon Talks! In the Legend Of Zelda series, the overworld plays a pretty important role, especially in the original and Zelda II. It usually acts as the main hub to get to all the different parts of Hyrule, but it sometimes has it’s own significant purpose (for example it holds all the statues you need to find in Twilight Princess) as well as a few small secrets here and there. But…

Even though Zelda U was delayed a little while ago now, it hasn’t let the hype for the game die down at all. If anything, it has increased how anxious everyone is to get their hands on it because of the many improvements Nintendo can now make to the game. For us fans, we’ve been given more time to speculate and express what we want to see in the game and what we don’t want to see in the game….

The Zelda franchise and Nintendo in general can learn a lot from competitors. The main point here is probably Nintendo’s technology. They tend to be a little behind at times and that has a massive impact on Zelda games. In order for the Zelda franchise to grow larger and larger, Nintendo needs to take more from what they have surrounding them, and use what they learn from competitors to up their game. Improvements to the Zelda franchise can easily be…
