We’ve been waiting patiently the last 24 hours for interviews explaining a few things about Zelda titles, including Tri Force Heroes and, naturally, the long awaited Zelda U. IGN got a chance to sit down with Reggie Fils-Aime, President of Nintendo of America, to talk about Zelda U. They were able to get some clarification on earlier comments from Shigeru Miyamoto along with further explanation on the Zelda U situation…

So, how did everyone like E3? Have any opinions on it? I know I do, but we can talk about that later- let’s get to the Gossip Stone! In A Link Between Worlds, there was the option to rent items if you didn’t have enough rupees to purchase it- however, there’s a catch. Simply renting an item means that if all of Link’s hearts are depleted and you’re greeted with the Game Over screen, all the items you have on…

I’ve been racking my brain since we finished with our Tri Force Heroes and Hyrule Warriors: Legends coverage on the first official day of E3. I won’t sugarcoat it: I wasn’t satisfied with Nintendo’s Digital Event. It lacked any major “oh yeah” moment for Wii U gamers and for 3DS it almost felt like we were getting a bunch of experimental ideas (not a bad thing) in established franchises that we’re still waiting for a major game in (Metroid).

Fan reaction says it all. The trailer for the new Metroid game on 3DS, a multiplayer shooter, is approaching 40,000 dislikes compared to a few thousand likes. There is an absolutely pathetic petition to cancel said game, which is wholly selfish. Beyond that, fans here at Zelda Informer have been rather mixed when it comes to Tri Force Heroes. A majority are okay with it, but there are plenty that are unsure or not feeling it.

Beyond that, many feel Star Fox: Zero didn’t show well in the direct, followed up by some negative reactions from the media on how it controls. Needless to say Nintendo didn’t show well at this year’s E3. Still, there is a lot of positives to take away from them this year that tell us the future is very, very bright…

Today, we at Zelda Informer kicked off our brand new YouTube video series, ZI Reacts. These videos will most likely occur whenever a major Zelda announcement happens. For our first episode, me (Editor Darrin), Copy Editor Rian, and Editor in Chief Nate discussed two major announcements that were revealed during Nintendo’s Digital Event. We also touched on an article that IGN published, but quickly took down. It contained some interesting information about Zelda U that made some a little upset…

Yes folks, we’re at E3 and busting our arses to get you anything Zelda related. We’ve got new exclusive videos arriving soon, but in the meantime here is a look at some really interesting things from the show floor – chiefly the control scheme for the new game and a look at one of the booths for the game. The booth features some official art and even a triforce setup of the televisions, perfectly fitting for a 3 person game. Check them out below! If you have any questions for our E3 team or any special requests for us to tackle on the show floor, simply ask in the comments and we’ll do the best with what we’re able to get done in the next two days…

This year’s Nintendo Digital Event was interesting to say the least. Not only did we get a true confirmation of Hyrule Warriors‘ 3DS port, named Hyrule Warriors: Legends, but Nintendo decided to surprise us with an entirely new and unexpected title name Tri Force Heroes. After a first trailer, we witnessed Aonuma speak to the game’s director, Hiromasa Shikata. Then, after the event had finished, we enjoyed a gameplay demo from the good…

A couple of days ago, we reported that Performance Designed Products announced some new The Legend of Zelda merchandise. Unfortunately, at the time we didn’t have any images showing the items in question, but thanks to Amiibo News on Twitter, we now have an image of one of the announced products.

The image shows…

While playing through Tri Force Heroes, the Treehouse Live crew stumbled upon a second boss named, Margoma. This is a very obvious rework of Margomill from A Link Between Worlds, although the former incorporates the new “totem” mechanics Tri Force Heroes introduces. An incredibly obvious difference is that the three Links don’t have the Tornado Rod, which used to be a necessity to beat Margomill. Instead, the players climb on each others shoulders, throw a bomb into the conveniently placed hole and, once it is exposed, slash rapidly at the large eye. Margoma also doesn’t require any slashing at its base, as the top platform can be easily reached when players hop on top of each other….

In today’s Nintendo Treehouse stream, the team showed off several bosses featured in Tri Force Heroes. One of these bosses starts out as a flat Yellow ChuChu with a red orb inside its body and a crown resting on top of its head. This boss has three forms. The first is its flat form, the second raised slightly, and the third looks exactly like a large Yellow ChuChu. As the boss gets taller, the orb rises a level as well…

During the Tri Force Heroes gameplay at the Nintendo Treehouse event, it was shown that during a multiplayer match, all players share the same heart pool.

This means that you’ll have to be extra careful…
