From the maw of New York Comic Con, more details about the upcoming A Link Between Worlds have emerged, courtesy of IGN’s Jose Otero. These include mini-dungeons, item upgrades, rupee drop rates, and potential connections to other games in the series, barring the obvious one.

Further details after the jump.

Eiji Aonuma arrived to meet fans in New York’s Comic Con today to discuss the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Beyond announcing the completion of A Link Between Worlds and his excitement to be with fans, Eiji also brought up his interest in taking the game back to its original roots with a whole new approach. Fan art contest winners were also announced briefly, as well as an eight minute preview of the game! Tune into the video to get all the details!

This past weekend, the luckiest people in the world had a chance to meet Legend of Zelda developer Eiji Aonuma while the rest of us silently (or, in my case, very loudly) sobbed and waited for the panel to be over so we could read all about it. Aonuma isn’t very familiar with greeting fans in this fashion. In an interview with Polygon he said, “This is actually the first time I’ve ever been able to be in front of fans and speak the way I did today.” For those of you who have never been to a Comic Con before, take a moment to view this video of the Nintendo 64 kid. I’ll wait.

Watch it? Good. That is but a fraction of the energy the fans at these conventions show to their favorite voice actors, artists, and developers. In August, I attended Boston Comicon and met the actors of Fili and Kili in

The Hobbit – Dean O’Gorman and Aidan Turner. Though I like to think I kept it together, these two gentleman caused at least three fans to cry tears of joy upon meeting them. This is the kind of appreciation we’re talking about. So it’s no surprise that upon Aonuma’s arrival at The Legend of Zelda Panel at New York Comicon, he was met with a horde of fans in cosplay who couldn’t wait to meet him and hear him talk about the series we all love so much. To check out more of what he said at the panel, read after the jump!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any fuzzier, at the New York Comic Con, Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma decided to make some rather interesting announcements, one of which pertaining to Majora’s Mask. During a fan Q&A Aonuma was asked about a Majora’s Mask remake to which, through his translator, he dropped quite a teaser.

“If you play through A Link Between Worlds, you may find an answer to your question.”

Those at the panel were apparently take aback by this news, as it could mean that A Link Between Worlds is connected to more games than previously thought. Although not in the same timeline, Majora’s Mask has been a fan favorite game for over a decade that many have hoped would see an HD/3D remake. What the connection is however, we’ll all just have to wait to see when the game lands on November 22nd.

Naturally there are spoilers ahead for the Bow upgrade, so be wary if you don’t want to know what it is or how items are upgraded to begin with. One really awesome feature in Skyward Sword was the fact you could upgrade your items throughout the game in a bit of RPG like action. In fact, we detail this in our Skyward Sword Walkthrough. As it turns out, item upgrades are also a real deal in A Link Between Worlds as well — something we just learned from Eiji Aonuma’s panel at Comic Con. While the details are sparse on everything we would like to know about upgrading them… we still have a few details, including what the Bow upgrade does! Head inside to find out!

If you happened to be lucky enough to grab New York Comic Con tickets before they sold out, you’ll have the chance to see Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma host a Zelda panel this Friday, October 11th.

Aonuma, who was the director of Ocarina of Time and currently looks after the Zelda franchise, will host the panel at 2:45p.m. He will speaking about The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

Along with the panel, Nintendo will also give attendees that visit their booth the opportunity to use the Nintendo 2DS and to play The Wind Waker HD and A Link Between Worlds, along with many other titles listed after the jump!

SDCC has wrapped up, but videos of various games that were demoed there are now surfacing. The Wind Waker HD was in attendance, and as such we have some “newer” footage, mostly because we haven’t shown off much of Outset Island in the wake of E3. The game is looking better than ever if you ask me, though it would have been nice if they captured at least some of the game’s audio. Must have been pretty loud there!

The Wind Waker HD arrives sometime in October of this year. No official price has been announced yet, but some folks are reporting a $49.99 MSRP, which is $10 lower than the standard new WIi U game. I personally am hoping the game releases for $10 less than that price, but it’s better than being listed at the full $60 tag.

At the London Toy Fair in January 2013, some prototypes for new Zelda statues were revealed. Fans were able to see these statues once more at San Diego Comic-Con.  The statues consist of Link and Pirate Captain Scervo from Skyward Sword and Link and Ganondorf from Twilight Princess. These statues are going to be produced by Unbox Industries and distributed in the United States by Dark Horse, the same company who released Hyrule Historia. These statues are still awaiting licensor…

Your fears have come true: Navi has appeared on the map and happens to be at… Comic-Con? Kotaku correspondent Kirk Hamilton found this cosplayer pushing her way through the crowds of the convention. Make the jump to see the full story on this life-sized fairy!

Eric Maruscak created a beautiful chalk rendering of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D box art at the San Diego Comic Con this year. This video is time lapse so just sit back and watch the magic happen!
