Passionate Zelda fans Sal, Russell, Jason, and Diego are running a live stream on Twitch to raise money for Weekend to End Women’s Cancer, an annual 60 kilometer charity walk. As I am writing this, Russell is playing through Twilight Princess while Sal is practicing for the race through Majora’s Mask that he and Jason will be having later. The group will also be playing A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker HD, and Skyward Sword. If they receive enough donations, a little bit of Zelda II and Four Swords Adventures will be added. Click through to check out the stream and learn more.

A reminder that the One Man Mini-Marathon is set to begin on Saturday at 6am US Central Time. We will be raising money for the Galloping Ghost Arcade with a goal of reaching the $2500 donation mark. Throughout the event, I will be playing through the entirety of the Legend of Zelda, the Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Link’s Awakening, and Ocarina of Time. One man – five Zelda games – in 24-hours. To be completely honest,…

Being active Zelda fans in the community, you all are probably not strangers to gaming marathons. Some are just for fun and viewership, but what about one with a cause? Filmed, charity marathons have become a fairly prominent trend among the gaming body recently with great success. Branching from the television to your computer, marathons are still a perfectly effective way to raise money. Hyrule Hustlers just announced their third annual Zelda fundraiser for children’s charity to take place on…

Hey folks, and welcome to our first ever fully sponsored Zelda Marathon! We’ve teamed up with 448 to present to you a stunning four day marathon of nothing but Zelda. Playing through nine Zelda games over the course of four days, we’re aiming to have a lot of fun with the 448 team and raise a solid chunk of change for charity at the same time. This marathon will be supporting Child’s Play, which you can read more about here. Essentially, Child’s Play makes it possible for children in hospitals across the globe to experience the same joy of video games you and I get to enjoy every single day. I actually once saw a cancer patient playing a GameCube and the hospital told me it was thanks to Child’s Play, and that brought a huge smile to my face.

The Marathon officially starts at 9 am EST, 8 am CST, and 6 am PST, and will run until the middle of the day on December 31st. There will be prizes, giveaways, and stretch donation goals to really help drive this straight into your home. Come watch for a few minutes, or hours, or join us every day! We hope you thoroughly enjoy the Zeldathon to your hearts’ content! May the Triforce be with you all. Hop inside to see the nine games 448 will be playing!

Summer Games Done Quick, the speed run marathon for charity, is about to wrap up its five-day event with one final game: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. The run is scheduled to be roughly 4 hours long at most, and begins at approximately 8:30pm MDT (that’s 7:30pm PST and 10:30pm EST. I didn’t know they were broadcasting from Denver.) The time has been changing frequently, as it depends on the runs prior to it, so please check the schedule here often (it shows the times based on your computer’s time zone). You can watch the marathon live right here.

Any donations you make go to Doctors Without Borders, a France-based humanitarian organization that helps out people of any nation suffering from armed conflict, disease, natural disasters, and anything else of that nature. Your donations will also enter you into a raffle to win prizes. The prizes during Twilight Princess are some Zelda playing cards, faerie bottles, and a replica treasure chest. All of the money goes towards a great cause so please, if you can spare something, make the speed runners proud and donate.

This is the final game in the marathon, and a great one at that. So far in this marathon we’ve seen amazing speed runs of The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a surprise twenty-minute run of Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, and now we’re on Twilight Princess. That’s almost every console Zelda game! Did you tune in for the marathon? Are you watching now, or looking forward to Twilight Princess? What has been your favorite run of the marathon so far?

This is just a reminder for anyone interested in watching the back to back speed runs of The Legend of Zelda and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link coming up soon in the Summer Games Done Quick charity marathon. The set begins at 1:24pm EST today. You can check the schedule here to confirm the time, as it is subject to change, and you can click here to watch the marathon (which is currently running).

The marathon is a charity which donates to Doctors Without Borders, a humanitarian organization which ‘delivers emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, natural disaster, or exclusion from health care in more than 65 countries’. Each donation within a certain price bracket will also enter you for a prize. The prizes during the Zelda NES block are some sprite perlers of various characters in The Legend of Zelda, and some really sweet posters.

I’ll also be throwing up reminders for A Link to the Past and Twilight Princess shortly before the runs are to begin, so keep an eye out if you’re interested! And please, if you can, consider donating. It’s for a good cause.

There’s been loads of events in support of Child’s Play charity recently, and now Zelda Dungeon’s throwing their hat into the ring; on August 7th, they’re going to marathon through every Zelda game ever made in five days. This includes the CD-i games, so it’s a good thing the money’s going to help the children. Throughout the marathon they’ll have a series of challenges for the fanbase based around donations and social media, so it’s definitely something to keep an eye on that weekend. If you don’t know what Child’s Play is, it’s “a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 70 hospitals worldwide.

The gamers over at Zeldathon have once again begun their annual marathon. The live stream will last until Friday, July 12th. The donation proceeds of the marathon will be going to Child’s Play, an organization that provides games and entertainment for hospitalized children. Make the jump to read more!

It’s not every day you see a great cause that’s related to Zelda. The Vanderbilt Computer Society of Nashville, Tennessee is hosting a 72 hour long Zelda marathon beginning tonight at 6PM CST. If you choose to make a donation, the society is raising funds in order to support the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. It’s worthy cause, in my opinion. During the marathon the society will be doing a speed run of all the Zelda games that they can in the…

Zelda Marathon month marches on, and this one comes courtesy of the folks from Zeldathon. The team is playing through pretty much the entire Legend of Zelda series over the course of 7 days, doing so to raise money for the Child’s Play Charity. In the past the team has raised over $20,000 for various charities in their previous 5 marathons combined. This particular marathon team is a bit closer to the heart for me personally, as last July I…
